Washington and Nevada Consumer Health Data Notice
Information that may be covered
Members may voluntarily disclose information about health, disability, sexual orientation, relationship goals, or other sensitive subjects in profiles, messages, or support and safety reports. Caribbean Hearts does not require a diagnosis or medical history to create an ordinary account.
Use and disclosure
Information is used to operate member-selected profile features, communications, safety review, support, security, and legal obligations. It is disclosed only to enabled service providers, people the member chooses to communicate with, or others when authorized or legally required. Caribbean Hearts does not currently sell consumer health data.
Member choices
Members may correct profile information, change profile visibility, download account data, contact support about a privacy request, or schedule account deletion through Account Settings. Some safety, fraud, audit, payment, backup, or legal-hold information may remain when permitted or required.
Retention schedule
- Active account and profile information: while the account is active.
- Closed or deleted account records: up to two years where needed for legitimate business, fraud prevention, safety, dispute, or compliance purposes; the public profile is removed promptly after deletion is requested.
- Ordinary member messages: while the account is active and up to one year after account closure or deletion.
- Safety reports and complaints: five years after the matter closes.
- Suspended or banned member records: five years after suspension or ban.
- Customer-support records: two years after the matter closes.
- Privacy and data-request records: three years after completion.
- Legal and compliance evidence: five years, or longer while an active legal, regulatory, safety, investigative, or related matter reasonably requires it.
- Payment, transaction, tax, and accounting records: seven years. Caribbean Hearts retains only the financial information needed for processing, accounting, refunds, chargebacks, tax, and compliance and does not store full card numbers or CVV/CVC handled by Stripe.
Deletion is suspended for records subject to a legal hold, including litigation, subpoena, law-enforcement requests, safety or fraud investigations, payment disputes or chargebacks, regulatory matters, and similar obligations. Evidence inherits the longer applicable retention period.
